Learn how CBD products could help you feel better!

Updated: Oct 19, 2020

Cannabidiol is a popular natural remedy used for many common ailments. Better known as CBD, it is one of the many chemical compounds known as cannabinoids found in the hemp plant.

When I first heard about CBD products I wasn't convinced or sold on the claims that it actually worked to help alleviate so many ailments that many people have suffered from. Being I am one of those people who has suffered and tried all sorts of alternative medicine to alleviate myself from the lack of sleep, aches and pains was skeptical. How could CBD make me feel better? Driven to learn the how and why behind this so called "miracle product" I began my quest to learn all I can before ultimately trying the products out for myself.

Here is what I found:

Cannabinoids don't just exist in the hemp plant, they occur naturally within the body and throughout nature as well.

The human body contains a specialized system called the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which is involved in regulating a variety of functions including sleep, appetite, pain, immune system response, etc. When these functions are "out of wack" the CBD helps the ECS balance itself through a state called homeostasis.

Homeostasis is a neutral state in which the body’s needs are balanced. Greatly contributes to our quality of life and helps avoid illness.

How does CBD work with our body?

Plant cannabinoids (phytocannabinoids) like CBD are nearly identical to the cannabinoids we have in our bodies, called endocannabinoids. It allows for CBD to interact with our internal system and act as a supplement to our natural transmitters. CBD allows the ECS to function better and more efficiently creating an abundance of balance. More homeostasis (balance) equals more resources to live life feeling amazing.

Benefits of CBD

CBD has many benefits even if you already feel like you’re healthy. We all suffer from the occasional sleepless night, stressful day, and periods where we just don’t quite feel like ourselves. CBD is perfect for these time. Here are a few benefits:

  • Can relieve pain

  • Reduce anxiety and depression

  • Give you glowing skin and reduce acne

  • Supports a better functioning gut

  • Help with sleep

  • Can help you get out of a "Funk"

  • Relief of muscle aches post workout

What you should know before purchasing

There’s a few important questions to ask about the product you’re buying before you jump in. Not all CBD is created equal.

-Ensure your CBD is grown organically and tested by a third party

This is important for microbial toxins, as most CBD supplements are not government regulated so testing is not required. Third party testing is expensive and many companies have skipped it with no regard to the safety of the consumer. For reputable companies, you’ll be able to check their website for testing.

-Make sure you get Broad-Spectrum not CBD isolate.

There are different ways of extracting CBD and the way it is grown can alter quality. Make sure you understand what you’re getting before you buy CBD. Broad-spectrum CBD contains cannabidiol and all the other compounds within the plant without THC. THC causes the sensation of getting "High".

-Check the amount of CBD in the product.

Some low-quality CBD products that had not been tested by a third party were found to contain no CBD at all. Shocking right!! Manufacturers are not required to disclose the milligrams (mg) of CBD. Be sure to check the bottle or website of company and go with the one that discloses the amount of CBD.

My Experience:

I tried CBD for myself and it definitely works. No more restless nights, pains or aches. For the first time in years I wake up well rested.

Now finding a hemp company you can trust can be tricky. So I strongly advise researching. THIS IS IMPORTANT. DON’T LET A POOR-QUALITY CBD MANUFACTURER TURN YOU OFF TO CBD AS A WHOLE. CBD is truly an amazing product and can help

Liv Labs is my go to hemp product company. USA grown organically, third party testing and broad spectrum
